What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We offer skateboarding camps, classes, and private lessons through five recreation centers in San Diego County. Our instructors have extensive experience working with beginners skateboarders of any age and will do everything they can to ensure you feel safe, secure, and confident on a skateboard.
Is your location strictly for adults, or can kids participate as well?
Students must be at least five years old to participate in group classes.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
SD Skatelife was founded by Andrew Barbosa after eight years of teaching recreational skateboarding camps. The mission of SD Skatelife is to create a network of skateboarding education programs that help make learning how to skateboard accessible and affordable for all.
What do you love most about your job?
We love helping ensure the safety of beginner skateboarders. Skateboarding can be intimidating and it is our goal to make sure that all of our students are aware of the safety precautions and exercises that they can do to protect themselves. Also, you can't beat skateboarding for a living!
