Breathing underwater, like eating fireworks, constructing a monument, and getting married, should only be attempted if you’re confident you can do it. This Groupon gives you all the skills you need to mingle with the mermaids.
$169 for a Scuba-Certification Course ($575 Value)
- Two four-hour classroom sessions
- Two four-hour pool sessions
- Five open-water dives
- Certification upon passing exam
Before donning wetsuits, students attend two four-hour classroom sessions in which they fiddle with equipment and master safety techniques. After a sufficient amount of informative text and instructional videos, the scuba gurus then move classes to the water during two four-hour pool sessions and five open-water dives in the ocean. Students must provide their own masks, fins, snorkels, gloves, and boots, which are available for purchase at Sea Stallion Scuba Outfitters for an additional fee. Online training materials are not included and are available for an additional $95. $70 of the fee will be waived if masks, fins, snorkels, gloves, and boots are purchased on site.
About Sea Stallion Scuba Outfitters
Some of Sea Stallion Scuba Outfitters's certified dive instructors fell in love with the ocean after moving to the West Coast from landlocked states, and others caught the diving bug on Caribbean vacations. But no matter how they came to love the sport, all of the instructors translate their passion into superior tutelage to help students earn their underwater independence through SSI-open-water-dive courses from beginner to instructor levels. These same staffers exercise their expertise to sell diving, snorkeling, and underwater-photography equipment from top industry brands, in addition to tweaking existing gadgets to ensure safe below-surface adventures. Though based in the Pacific Ocean, Sea Stallion encourages sea-hopping with yearly excursions to exotic locales, such as the Bahamas, Indonesia, the Philippines, and the recently discovered Eighth Sea.
