Q:

How much are the open water dives that need to be completed after the class? Also, how much do you rent the equipment for? I'm trying to get a better idea of the total price for the open water dive certification. Thanks!

Mark N.  asked on  Nov 29, 2012

A:

OW Certification, Rental of SCUBA Equipment and Certification Agency Fees runs $225. Your personal gear (Mask, Fins, and Snorkel) can be rented for $30-40 per day or purchased in numerous different packages starting as low as $80, most people spend $200-300 on higher quality, pro-line snorkeling equipment. You can see the difference and learn more when you come in to pick your books for class.

Is the SCUBA equipment included with the pool dive session, or does it need to be rented?

Renee R.  asked on  Nov 27, 2012

A:

The SCUBA equipment is included. Students will need to have their own mask, fins and snorkel which can be purchased or rented from us but the tanks, regulators and buoyancy compensator are included with the class.

Q:

Is this a good class for a 16 year old who has never tried scub diving?

Kristi o.  asked on  Nov 26, 2012

A:

Most of our students have never tried scuba diving before they come to see us. This class is intended for people wanting to learn about diving and get certified so they can start living out their dreams of underwater adventures. Although at 16 they will need to have a parent or guardian with them, scuba diving is a team activity and dive buddies are always needed to add safety as well as fun.
