Enjoy an afternoon of expertly-played music as the Seattle Festival Orchestra performs under the baton of conductor Wesley Schulz at Town Hall Seattle. Pianist Angelo Rondello is set to join the symphony for Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1 in D Minor, written by the composer at the young age of 25, and known as one of the most technically challenging pieces to play. You'll also hear Dmitri Shostakovich's grandly dramatic Symphony No. 12 in D minor. Penned in 1961, it's dedicated to the composer's hero Vladimir Lenin and named "The Year of 1917," in honor of the Russian Revolution.
