I love having a dedicated instructor to lead us through this beautiful art form! Amy was fantastic: knowledgable, patient, calm, when an obvious passion for her craft. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to experience the basics of glass blowing spend time at the Seattle Glassblowing Studio!

Private classes are available seven days a week during three time slots: 9 a.m.–1 p.m., 1:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m., and 6 p.m.–10 p.m. All equipment and materials are provided.

Whether joining 10–25 fellow artisans in a group workshop or forming a clique in a one- to two-person private class, each session spans four informative hours. Professional glass wielders safely impart etiquette and basic techniques such as gathering glass on a rod and shaping it into colorful, geometric forms. By the session’s end, each participant can tote home their own hand-blown paperweight, bowl, or stress-relief ball. The studio asks that all students bring sunglasses and don closed-toe shoes and long-sleeved cotton clothing for safety.
