What You'll Get
For $30, today's side deal scores you a one-day admission (a $12 value) to the 2011 Seattle Golf & Travel Show, on February 11, 12, or 13 at the Qwest Field Event Center, plus two passes good for two-for-one 18-hole rounds of golf, magazine subscriptions, and more (up to a $143 value). After trying out the latest golfing gear and doing a little tee-talk with the Seattle Golf & Travel Show's 200-plus exhibitors, each Groupon customer will get passes good for two-for-one rounds of 18 holes at Port Ludlow Golf Club in Port Ludlow (good for rounds costing up to $62 per person/per round) and Desert Canyon Golf Resort in Orondo (good for rounds costing up to $69 per person/per round). Each golf pass is valid through December 31, 2011, and will be given to you when you arrive at the golf show; you must pay in full for the first round in order to get the complimentary second. Desert Canyon opens for play on March 1, 2011. Attendance at the 2011 show will also garner golfers a complimentary one-year subscription to Golf Digest, a guide to Washington golf, and another free round of golf at one of four area golf courses.
The value of this Groupon includes the 2-for-1 passes, but you must purchase the first rounds in order to receive the second. The values of $62 (Port Ludlow) and $69 (Desert Canyon) are based on the highest regular green fees, but these prices may vary on holidays or peak weekends. Additional fees may be assessed if the passes are redeemed during these periods.
Though the Seattle Golf & Travel Show and the Port Ludlow Golf Club have yet to receive many online reviews, eight TripAdvisors give the Desert Canyon Golf Resort an average of 3.5 owl eyes. Four Yelpers also give the resort a 3.5-star rating:
- The best part of the resort for me was the golf course. It was a championship course that was in terrific condition and inexpensive (as we were late in the golf season)… The greens were huge and fantastic to putt on. – CaptainMorgan99, TripAdvisor
- Nice course and a difficult round from the back tees as I experienced, but the views of the river and valley below certainly ease the pain. ¬– Jeff H., Yelp
