Chef Luigi DeNunzio leads small, hands-on classes limited to 10 people, showing students how to carefully prepare an appetizer, main course, and dessert. During classes, the chef blends Old and New World influences as he instructs pupils in how to create classic Italian-American dishes such as pizza, chicken parmesan, and fettuccine alfredo.

The exact menu changes, but all sessions conclude with students sitting down to devour the feast they’ve helped to create. Classes run 90 minutes in length. Participants must be 18 or older. Weekend classes fill quickly; customers are encouraged to register for these sessions immediately after purchasing their Groupon.

Luigi's Italian Eatery

Growing up in the Italian port town of Brindisi, Luigi DeNunzio frequented the colorful outdoor markets with his father. Surrounded by stalls bursting with local produce, meat, fish, and dairy, Luigi discovered his love of rustic cuisine composed from the freshest regional ingredients. After immigrating to Seattle in 1977, Luigi amassed experience in both cooking and business while working at a handful of the city's Italian restaurants. In 1989, he opened a restaurant where tables covered in white linen host plates of hearty Italian fare. Since then, Luigi has expanded his oeuvre at Luigi's Italian Eatery to include cooking classes

Customer Reviews

We had a great time and the food was super!! Dan was funny.

Pros: Small class size, fun recipe ideas for tasty Italian food, interactive class, and cozy atmosphere. Cons: Students must insist that the instructor demonstrate cooking techniques, students charged $8 for glasses of underwhelming wine, and "critters" of the six-legged variety may join the class from time to time.

Honestly, this may be my favorite GroupOn purchase ever. What a treat! Bill was our host for the evening and gave us a wonderful guided tour through our multi-course meal. The restaurant is small, but the area for the cooking class is in the back and limited to six people... perfect for a date night! We had lots of hands-on time with the food prep, Bill was friendly, patient, funny, and a great teacher.
