Our instructor Beth was experienced, through, and made the class enjoyable. This was my first time sailing and as that sail went up and took the wind....I was hooked !!

I took the ASA 101 course through Seattle Sailing Club. Now I know why they are so highly recommended as I would recommend them to my friends also. Captain Dennis was very good and I look forward to taking more courses from him.

  • The 15-hour (3 hrs in classroom, 12 hrs on-the-water) beginner sailing course introduces students to the foundations of sailing. The course is taken on sailboats 24’-26’, preparing students to receive ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Certification.

For over 50 years, Seattle Sailing Club has been the FUN place to learn and sail! Club members have access to a fleet of over 30 sailboats, including cruisers, racers, and day-sailers from 22' to 40'.
