What You'll Get
Developed in Australia, Street Requiem is a stirring concert piece aimed at bringing a sense of peace, remembrance, action and hope to communities struggling with homelessness, poverty, hate-crime and street violence. Volunteer singers and musicians from around the Pacific Northwest will fill the Taper Auditorium at Benaroya Hall with beautiful music and song, including uplifting lyrics in languages from across Africa and the Americas. With 90 percent of proceeds benefitting local nonprofits that serve the homeless, Street Requiem shows the power art can have when used to give souls a voice.
