Q:

Will the groupon apply to me if I don't have prescription and just want glasses with plain lenses aka fake glasses?

Megan G.  asked on  Feb 21, 2013

A:

Very sorry, but the Groupon is only valid toward prescription eyewear.

Q:

Are only the frames shown included? The fine print states that designer frames are not included. Is there still a large selection to choose from? Also, bifocal lenses are included in the price, does this include blended bifocals? I'm just trying to get an idea of what the final cost would end up being--is there a usual price range? Thanks

Barbara V.  asked on  Feb 18, 2013

A:

You are not limited to the glasses shown on the Groupon page. They do offer a variety of frames to choose from, excluding their designer frames. The Groupon isn't a set price for a specific pair of frames and lenses. Instead, you'll choose your frames and prescription lenses, and $200 will be deducted from your bill. Prices vary depending on what you choose, but you're welcome to reach out to the location of your choice if you'd like to get a better idea of pricing for the lenses you require.

A:

Hi Barbara! Only our stores in Skokie IL, Water Tower Chicago, IL and Columbus OH carry frames other than SEE. We have a HUGE selection for you to choose from - you'll be amazed! Bifocals are an additional cost, so you'll be responsible for the balance after your Groupon has been applied. Thanks!

Q:

I have a high Rx. I've always paid extra to get the thinnest lenses available. Are there any extra charges at See to get thinner lenses?

Amy L.  asked on  Feb 18, 2013

A:

The Groupon isn't a set price for a specific pair of frames and lenses. Instead, you'll pick out your frames and prescription lenses, and the Groupon will deduct $200 from your bill. If you need a price quote for the lenses you require, please reach out to the location of your choice directly.

Q:

How much more would the addition of no-line biofocals be? Can I see the selection of frames offered before I purchase? (Since I have insurance, which I know I can't use I want to make sure this is the better of the prices)

Teresa S.  asked on  Feb 17, 2013

A:

You can see some of the glasses they carry by visiting their website here. If you'd like to see their full selection, you're welcome to visit one of their stores in-person. For a list of locations, click here. For specific pricing, please call the location of your choice.

Q:

HOw much does SEE charge for an eye exam? Paying for an eye exam is an additional requirement?

Mary Kay W.  asked on  Feb 18, 2013

A:

There are two options when purchasing the Groupon. The first option is $39 and doesn't include an eye exam. The second option is $59 and does include an eye exam. If you have a current prescription and don't need an exam, then you can purchase the first option. If you don't have a current prescription, you'll need the second option so you can get an exam. "Appointment for eye exam option required" just means that if you purchase the option that includes an exam, you need to make an appointment for that exam.

Q:

Please explain why it says eye exam appt. required but there is an option with no eye exam.

Theresa Z.  asked on  Feb 17, 2013

A:

Sorry for the confusion. If you purchase the option that is just a credit toward glasses and doesn't include an exam, then you won't need an appointment because you won't be having an eye exam. "Appointment for eye exam option required" means that if you purchase the option that includes an eye exam, then you need to make an appointment for the included eye exam.

Q:

It wasn't quit clear to me if you need to pay extra for an eye exam or not, I just had my annual eye exam but wouldn't mind an extra pair if my current prescription could be used, & it would be 39.00 for the frames & prescription?

Hollie L.  asked on  Feb 17, 2013

A:

You are not required to purchase an exam if you already have a current prescription. If you already have a current prescription, you can purchase the $39 option which just provides you with a $200 credit toward eye wear, and doesn't include an exam. You'll be able to pick out the frames and prescription lenses of your choice, and will need to pay the difference if your bill exceeds $200.
