Segway NM is a lot of fun. The guide is so patient and knowlegeable. I hope Segway puts another groupon out. I bought 4 and took my husband, daughter and son-in-law. The Segway is easy to operate. It's a wonderful experience and a fun outing in the fresh air. I already have recommended it to all of my friends who want to try something new and fun.

Great tour of the area, training before venturing out was intense and well done. Would definately do it again. Great way to see the Country Club and Old Town areas!

It was a fun experience, but don't expect a guided tour; there was no tour-guide narration of what we rode by on the route. But it was a very nice tour route.

What You'll Get

Less prone to explosions, bird collisions, and painful butt-burns, the Segway has edged out the jetpack as the official ride of the 23rd century. Today's Groupon to Segway New Mexico gives you the chance to practice on these leisurely chariots of fire, lest the future overtake you at 12.5 miles per hour: for $35, you get a two-hour sightseeing tour down, around, and through downtown Albuquerque and its adjacent sights, a $65 value.

Before you zip down to the Lomas Boulevard starting line, you'll have a chance to train on the Segway, learning its quirks and how to fulfill your need for blisteringly moderate speed. After watching a video and trying a quick test spin, you'll set out for a dizzying circuit of downtown's paramounts and semi-paramounts, including Tingley Beach, the Albuquerque Museum sculpture gardens, Old Town,Tiguex Park, and more. Each Segway bears a small handlebar bag for cameras, purses, or smoke bombs.

A Segway tour is a nice way to tell out-of-town visitors to get lost (and see the city, of course), as well as a convenient alternative to walking mile after mile. It makes the act of viewing Albuquerque easier and faster for families composed of the old, the young, and wielders of uneven wooden legs. No particular ability outside of leaning is required to operate a Segway, banishing complaints of fatigue or the possibility of a forced march in search of desperately needed ice cream.

Reservations required. Riders must be at least 12 years old (and be accompanied by parent); riders ages 14 and up may ride alone, with a waiver signed by parent for all riders under 18. No open-toed shoes. All riders must wear a totally not dorky helmet.
