What You'll Get
Getting around West Cliff Drive on foot can be challenging, especially if you have a bad sense of direction or you're carrying a 6-foot party sub horizontally. Navigate the seaside effortlessly with this Groupon.
$44 for a Two-Hour Segway Tour for One (an $89 Value)
For the first 15–30 minutes, guides instruct tourgoers on the mechanics of operating their Segway, teaching them how to accelerate, brake, and operate their vehicle safely. Groups then make their way along West Cliff’s seaside paths to view popular sites such as the historical lighthouse and the Surfing Museum. Riders may spot seals playing volleyball on the beach as the tour continues down past through the municipal wharf, which also serves as a great spot for people watching and checking out local shops and restaurants. Tours reach the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk before making their way back to the shop.

About Segway Santa Cruz Tours
From the shore, Seal Rock—with its rounded crags and compact shape—looks like an oversize mass floating on the Pacific Ocean. Upon closer examination, one can see its silhouette shifting as hundreds of sea lions atop the rock bob their heads or dive into the water. In addition to hosting this majestic hoard, the rock makes for a popular stop for Segway Santa Cruz Tours, which peer at it from shore on their way to other sights. After a hands-on training session, guides lead groups aboard the eco-friendly two-wheelers along scenic Westcliff Drive en route to an array of seaside attractions, including Santa Cruz Lighthouse and Santa Cruz Surfing Museum. The tour continues past Bird Rock, stops at Mitchell's Cove to take in the ocean views and watch local surfers catch a wave, and then glides back to the Santa Cruz Wharf's boardwalk, restaurants, and shops, ending with a slice of fudge at Marini’s and a specialty coffee or hot chocolate. The tours are open to guests of all ages with no experience driving a Segway, as guides prep each person on safety of the Segways before taking off on sightseeing around the town.
