What You'll Get
Horses were once considered man’s best friend, but after the invention of the dog, the horse was rebranded as man’s eccentric, oat-obsessed uncle. Take a journey with the kindest of kinsmen with today's Groupon: for $40, you get two one-hour riding lessons at Select Show Horses (an $80 value) in Sheridan.
Select Show Horses' award-winning instructors school anxious amateurs and confident competitors in horsemanship while shepherding skilled students to a number of national competitions. Learn trotting tenets during a one-hour riding lesson. Ten minutes of grooming and tacking help rider and horse get acquainted before a 40-minute jockey jog. At the end of your ride, 10 minutes of untacking and grooming will relax hardworking horses while riders' legs gradually become unbowed.

About Select Show Horses
Together, Dalton Budd and Kellie Wendling have won more than 35 national championships—an impressive showing that translates into insightful lessons for the new generations of riders at Select Show Horses. And though Dalton and Kellie’s instructorship has resulted in victories for riders and horses at all levels, they still know how to start small, guiding beginners as they confidently command their newfound, hoofed companions. During the stable’s 60-minute lessons, the duo focuses on the disciplines of saddle seat, hunt seat, and western riding, alotting 10 minutes at the beginning and end of each lesson for horse care and the traditional swap of pen-pal addresses between the horse and rider.
