The Issue: Veterans Reintegrating into Civilian Life
For members of the armed forces, the transition from military service to civilian life can be a difficult one. In addition to the pressures of readjusting socially and psychologically, there comes the need to decide whether to continue their educations or find permanent employment. For those veterans with severe injuries or disabilities, the obstacles are even greater.
The Campaign: Distributing Laptops to Disabled Veterans
If 60 people donate $10 to this Grassroots campaign, then Sentinels of Freedom Foundation can fund a laptop for one veteran pursuing education or a job. The laptop will serve as a vital tool for completing necessary tasks such as researching school assignments, emailing potential employers, and searching job listings.
