A hometown business originally established in 1917 in NYC and moved to Somerville in 1945. A caring staff, with dance degrees and performing experience to welcome any student to the art of dance. Option to compete or dance for the benefit that a recreational class gives. A true dance home!
What’s one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
A first-time tip would be to come in with a positive attitude and we will take it from there. The gifts that dance gives are confidence, poise, rhythm, exercise, and a sense of belonging. Your little one with fall in love with ballet and all the beauty it offers, and older dancers make lifelong friends.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
My first dance teacher was my inspiration to dance. Dance was such a wonderfully positive addition to my life that I never stopped... and [I] want to share that love of dance with young children today. They grow up too fast and need the atmosphere that dance class offers—discipline and self-confidence.
What do you love most about your job?
Sharing my love for something that has brought me such great joy and physical wellness in my life.
