During the holiday season, Sesame Place transforms into A Very Furry Christmas, a holiday celebration where the streets come alive with multicolored lights and music. Amid the festivities, a huge Sesame Street Christmas tree treats onlookers to a stunning light show as snowflakes fall from the sky, and a Neighborhood Street Party Christmas Parade dazzles with floats and songs such as "Jingle Bells" and "Let it Snow."
After they're tuckered out from enjoying rides (weather permitting), shopping for gifts, meeting Santa Claus, and feasting on special Christmas meals, families make their way to three shows, each performed three or more times a day. During A Sesame Street Christmas show, Abby, who grew up in Fairyland, learns about Christmas traditions from her Sesame Street friends. With a little encouragement from Santa, Elmo finds the perfect gift for Dorothy in the Elmo's World Live! Happy Holidays show, whereas Elmo, Cookie Monster, Grover, Zoe, Rosita, and Murray band together for the song-and-dance-filled Elmo's Christmas Wish show.
Sesame Place, the nation's only theme park based entirely on the award-winning television program Sesame Street, is celebrating its 35th birthday. That means it's time for a season-long party, one filled with whirling rides and spirited shows featuring everyone's favorite furry friends—whether they're Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, and Elmo or newer additions, such as Murray and Honker and Dinger. Birthday fun also takes to the streets of the park in the form of the brand-new Neighborhood Birthday Party Parade. Guests can also explore the furry confines of Cookie's Monster Land, a new zone featuring five fun rides, a three-story net climb, and a soft play area for toddlers.
The end of summer also marks the beginning of Halloween at Sesame Place. On weekends between September 26 through November 1, the park transforms into The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular at Sesame Place. Hosted by Sesame Street's spookiest resident, the park welcomes costumed guests for not-so-scary fun including Halloween-themed shows, a themed maze, and photo opportunities with Sesame Street characters. There's also a new Neighborhood Street Party Halloween Parade, as well as three new rides inspired by Count von Count himself.
