Sesame Place’s 35th Birthday
To celebrate its 35th year, the nation’s only theme park based entirely on Sesame Street is pulling out all the stops. All season long, visitors can join the party by hopping onto whirling rides, zooming down splashy water slides, and enjoying toe-tapping shows featuring characters from the beloved children’s series.
The entire park will be decked out for the occasion—bright balloons bob around the attractions, an inflatable birthday cake stands proud and tall, and giant candles flicker all the way down Sesame Street. Even the Sesame Street topiaries will be outfitted in their birthday best. Elsewhere, the daily parade becomes the Neighborhood Birthday Party Parade, complete with colorful balloons, sparkly cupcakes, and a brand-new birthday song. The jubilee also features three show-stopping performances about letters, numbers, and friendship, mixed in with a set of classic and contemporary Sesame Street tunes.
Strolling through the streets of Sesame Place, kids can get up close and personal with Elmo, Cookie Monster, and the rest of the Sesame Street friends. But warm, fuzzy hugs aren't all the park has to offer—throughout Sesame Place, kids and parents alike can sit down to watch live entertainment or strap in for exciting rides.
- Neighborhood Street Party Halloween Parade: Everyone’s favorite Neighborhood Street Party Parade is completely transformed into a not-too-spooky version. All three show-stopping parade stops feature Halloween-themed music and flair.
- Elmo the Live! – Halloween: Music, magic and mayhem are everywhere and you get to be part of the action. Join Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Velvet, Abbot the Rabbit, The Great David Cluckerfield, and of course, some very silly feathered friends.
