What You'll Get
Sailing is a luxurious way to relax and see the sights, unlike boarding a saddled turtle, which usually results in boredom and soggy lungs. Cruise the blue in comfort with today's Groupon: for $79, you get a two-hour sailing trip for two people (up to a $200 value) from Seven Seas Sailing of Buffalo. Choose a 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. trip or a 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. trip, and step aboard the wind-catching cruiser at NFTA Small Boat Harbor. With this deal, you'll also receive $50 to use toward sailing lessons.
Sailabrating its 40-year anniversary, Seven Seas Sailing of Buffalo is a non-profit sailing company that takes adventurers on rides down Lake Erie's watery road. During a private sailing trip, two to six people sit back and take in the beauty of the greatest of the Great Lakes while the wind blows through their hair and their hair blows through their hats. A professional captain will guide the vessel toward the most winsome watery vistas while putting the party at ease with friendly banter rather than rough maritime commands such as "shiver me timbers, you tallywagging nincompoop, stop swinging the lead and get me my top hat!"
Vivid views of the Buffalo skyline are best enjoyed while hand-feeding Chiclets to your loved one, so consider packing a picnic. Or, ask about ordering a pre-made gourmet basket. Call ahead to schedule your excursion.

About Seven Seas Sailing Center
Open since 1970, the U.S. Sailing Association–accredited Seven Seas Sailing Center offers landlubbers a taste of the aquatic life aboard sailboats manned by U.S. Coast Guard–certified captains. The team regularly exercises budding sailors' sea legs with certification courses and a seven-part Basic Sail program, and has also instructed students with multiple sclerosis and worked with the Sea Scouts to construct the world's first brick sailboat as part of a mission to take down rogue lighthouses. Seven Seas' headquarters on the Buffalo Ship Canal, complete with on-shore barbecues, a gazebo, and dockside gardens, hosts regular Friday-night family Sailabration events that combine food and fireworks with lively cruises and contests. When not sailing through their own programs, Seven Seas' captains and boats have been featured as crews in The Sullivans and Bruce Almighty.
