Kids leave sewing courses at Sew Something with new ensembles—and best of all, they make the clothes themselves. At the studio, instructors start working with youth as young as aged 6. By the end of the children's course, kids have sewn new tops, pants, shorts, and often a backpack or nightshirt, and older children may foray into sportswear and skirts. Teenagers sew age-appropriate garb, including lounge capris and long-sleeve shirts, to refresh their wardrobes. The studio also holds one-off workshops to create projects, such as quilts and cute pillows or purses.
“My 11 year-old daughter loved this!! She made an adorable little drawstring bag and is so happy! She's signing up for regular classes.”
