What You'll Get
Sewing relieves stress by rewarding needle wielders with a sense of creative freedom and a chance to get to know pillows before screaming expletives into them. Explore feelings through fabric with today's Groupon: for $33, you get four kids' or adults' basic sewing classes at Sew Unique by Jackie in Granger (up to a $75 value). All tools are provided, but students must bring their own cloth or purchase it at Sew Unique by Jackie.
Dedicated darner Jackie Gentner imparts more than 20 years of stitch-working know-how to sewers of all ages and experience levels. Kid-focused 90-minute classes ($67 for four) show tykes how to craft loot-storing drawstring bags, covered throw pillows, or a hug-enhancing second set of arms for their teddy bear. Classes are open to tots age 6 and older and are held throughout the week. Two-hour adult classes ($75 for four) give seam sultans the scissors, pins, sergers, and iron confidence to produce pillowcases, butchers' aprons, and pajamas.
Sew Unique encourages all students to learn at their own pace, confident that by the end of their four-class run they'll be producing take-home work. Sessions begin on a rolling basis, meaning novices can commence their classes at any time.

About Sew Unique by Jackie
A lifelong sewer, Jackie has been perfecting her teaching method for 24 years, hoping to pass on her passion for stitching to new craftsmen. Inside her boutique in Granger, she teaches classes to students aged 6 and up, careful to tailor lessons to each student's pace. Over the course of her eight-class series, she guides pupils' hands as they stitch together several finished projects, such as pillowcases, aprons, and eyeball warmers. Jackie's boutique also houses a plethora of fabrics and sewing necessities for students or learned sewers.
