If Steven Wright and Zach Galifianakis had a heavily bearded love child, he would be named Ben Kronberg. For Kronberg is the new king of the wonderfully weird one-liners, each one a Russian nesting doll of puns and insane references. He then double-downs on the comedy by combining his jokes with hilarious songs he performs on the guitar, Casio keyboard, even his iPhone. Since his breakout performance at the 2007 Aspen Comedy Festival, Kronberg has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live and Last Call With Carson Daly, and recently starred in his first Comedy Central half-hour special. Along with his brilliantly crafted one-liners, much of Kronberg's material has been inspired by his girlfriends -- who are now, incidentally, his ex-girlfriends. Now Kronberg, who also stars in the viral web series Ted & Gracie, performs live in Denver as the headliner of the rowdy and raucous show Late Night at the Bug Theatre.
