Discover a unique way to explore San Francisco with a Segway night tour. After a 45-minute training session to get you familiar with Segway travel, you’ll set off on an exciting guided excursion through North Beach (San Francisco’s Little Italy), Chinatown, and down the Embarcadero Waterfront to Fisherman’s Wharf. Among the many sights you’ll take in along the way: Saints Peter and Paul Church, the Transamerica Pyramid, the Fisherman’s Chapel, Ghirardelli Square, the National Maritime Museum and the lights of Alcatraz and the Bay Bridge. Your knowledgeable guide will point out many hidden gems along the way and fill you in on the colorful history behind these most distinctive San Francisco neighborhoods and attractions.

Event Description: This fully narrated tour begins at the West end of Fisherman’s Wharf and includes:
-North Beach, the neighborhood best known as San Francisco’s Little Italy. This famous culinary destination prides itself on authentic Italian fare and bustles with activity both day and night.
-Washington Square Park by Saints Peter and Paul Church, where guests will learn about the Beat Generation in North Beach.
-Chinatown, a veritable city within a city.  Cruise through historic Chinatown and past hidden alleys in the largest Chinese community outside of Asia.
-Romantic night views of the Transamerica Pyramid and the Ferry Building.
-The tour will loop back from the edge of the Financial District towards the Wharf, cruising past historic Piers along the Embarcadero while the San Francisco Bay glitters against the night.
-Fisherman’s Wharf, where guides will take you past picturesque fishing harbors and hidden gems like Fish Alley, Fisherman’s Chapel, a WWII Liberty Ship, and the Pampanito submarine.  See and hear Dungeness crabs being cracked in stands located in the heart of Historic Fisherman’s Wharf.
-Learn how Cable Cars operate and see the built-in Cable Car turntable at the end of the Hyde Street Line.
-Ghirardelli Square, where guests will learn more about the famous chocolate that bears its name.
-View the unique streamline design of National Maritime Museum and the fleet of historic sailing ships berthed at Hyde Street Pier.
-Pause to take in breathtaking nighttime views of the Alcatraz Lighthouse and the twinkling lights of the Bay Bridge.
-Return to the starting point, and perhaps visit the Buena Vista Café after the tour ends for a taste of their famous Irish Coffee.

The tour begins with a 45-50 minute Segway training session and lasts approximately 2.5 hours, including training time.

Tours are limited to 10 riders, ages 12 or older. The tour is not recommended for guests age 70 and older.

Guests will be required to sign a liability waver before riding and wear a helmet and safety vest for the duration of the tour.

Flip-flops, open-toed sandals and high heels are not recommended for this tour. San Francisco can be cold and foggy any time of year, so dress accordingly. Tours run fog, light rain or shine.

Tour prices do not include meals, beverages, admission fees, gratuities or souvenirs. Guide gratuities are not included and are appreciated.
