Q:

How many students are in a typical class? What is the maximum? Also, would it be an indoor or outdoor shooting range?

Julia J.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

Our Saturday classes are the largest. Typically we average 25 - 30 students and have 7 NRA Instructors present. Our Monday and Tuesday classes average less than 10 students per class. The shooting portion is conducted at the indoor pistol range. Although we are indoors, a coat or sweatshirt is advisable this time of year.

I just purchased this for myself and one as a gift. Both Groupon receipts that were emailed to me state that it is for a " Basic Pistol Shooting Course." The Groupon states it is for a " Eight-Hour Connecticut Pistol-Permit Course with Guns, Ammunition, and Lunch." I want to clarify that my purchase was for the permit course. - Nancye Frank

Yes, this class is a permit class. It is the NRA 8 Hour Basic Pistol Shooting Course. Upon completion, you may apply for your pistol permit.

Q:

Any idea when the next women's only class will be held? Will it be offered before the expiration date?

Jennifer P.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

I am not 100% certain when the next ladies only class will be. It depends upon the level of interest. 61% of my students are female; sometimes there is a large interest and sometimes there is not. It's hard to tell.
