The St. Patrick's Day-themed event that is the Shamrock Beer 5K Run/Walkcombines two unlikely activities: running, and beer tasting. Throughout the day, participants take off in staggered starts down a 5-kilometer course, drinking a beer before take off, and stopping four times along the way for 3-ounce tastes of beer. After crossing the finish line, attendees can dunk their participation medals in a full pint and revel in the festive atmosphere.
