At the beginning of each makeup lesson, Shara and her team of makeup artists consult with their clients insider her quaint studio to determine the look they hope to achieve. Makeup artists will work with clients one-on-one or, when appointments are available, consult with a pair of clients together. With step-by-step explanations, they apply cosmetics to half of the face and then help students to copy their strokes and hue selections on the other half. Students should bring their own makeup collections, but products and brushes are also available for purchase. Lessons accomodate students of all levels of application experience.

About Shara Makeup Studio
Calling on skills she honed at Nars and Estée Lauder, Shara Strand has gilded faces for television, print, and celebrity events for the last 15 years. At her elegant and welcoming studio on the Upper East Side, she highlights facial features for weddings and special events with fashion-forward cosmetics and artistic precision, tapping her deft color-matching skills to select the most flattering shades for any skin tone. The makeup expert also leads one-on-one makeup lessons that teach students how to enhance their façades in a manner that will match their personal style and take full advantage of their current cosmetics stashes. Patrons learn how to choose different brushes and shades for everyday wear, special events, or infiltrating clown fraternities, and they can upgrade their makeup collections with Shara's own line of brushes and products.
