About Shark Con
This Florida Aquarium-sponsored event celebrates the aquatic predator and its fellow ocean life with activities and fun for all ages. Guests can test out the latest scuba-diving equipment in a pool, or try their hands and legs at paddleboarding. Educators let visitors feed bamboo sharks, which surprisingly look nothing like wood. Touch tanks hold even more animals, from horseshoe crabs to snakes, while fossils from the aquarium open a window into oceans past. To foster a greater appreciation of the world's waters, Shark-Con brings in experts from Discovery Channel's Shark Week, National Geographic, and other areas of marine science. There will also be fishing clinics and a "how to set up a saltwater tank" clinic, as well as kids activities like a shark tooth dig, bounce house, coloring projects, and a shark ride. Check out 75 ocean-themed vendors after watching "The Last Shark".
