Sheltering Arms' boot-camp classes whip clients into shape with strength-and-cardio circuit training, and Athletic Republic Acceleration Richmond's individually designed, sport-specific training programs help athletes ages 8 and up play to the best of their ability and avoid injuries. The sports-training option combines high-tech equipment, expert guidance, and hard work to mold baseball, football, track and field, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, baseball, or fast-pitch softball jocks into superhero versions of themselves. Instructors lead students through pre- and post-performance tests of abilities and strengths, as well as an analysis of running form.

Modern devices, such as a specially designed super treadmill and resistance cords, help participants increase strength and build skills. After the program, basketballers see an average increase of 11.5% in shooting-range accuracy, 2–4 inches of vertical jump height, or an increase in email correspondence from Charles Barkley. Workouts last 60–90 minutes, meet three times a week, and are limited to five students to ensure personalized attention.

During intense 45-minute sessions, cardio blast boot camp enlists circuit training to pump up heart rates, build muscle, and torch calories. Campers move through several strength and core-and-balance exercise stations to maintain an elevated heart rate within their targeted zone, calculated using age, fitness level, and astrological sign. Bon Air holds classes on Wednesdays at 7 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m., and Maple holds classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
