Sheridan House & Cafe

Sheridan House & Cafe’s rich history of hospitality began in 1911, when it opened as The Lakeview Inn, and it has since taken many forms. In 1920, the owners replaced the wooden structure and opened The Sheridan Hotel, and in 1968, it was remodeled and christened The Fountain Blue. In 2007, owners Lee Barczak and Jane Schilz completely renovated the building and brought the Sheridan name back. Today, it’s a stylish, boutique hotel with classic, sophisticated decor and an American bistro.

Drawing inspiration from winemaking regions of the world such as Napa Valley, Burgundy, and Stellenbosch, rooms are outfitted with elegant wrought-iron bedframes, crystal-covered lights, and antique-style carved wood pieces. When guests arrive, they can flop onto Stearns & Foster beds or pump up their own theme song on the Bose Wave music systems. Multiple massaging showerheads and L’Occitane bath products pamper guests before they snuggle into fluffy Frette robes and cozy up to electric fireplaces. Flat-screen LCD TVs play cable programming, and free WiFi invisibly streams from each room’s personal alien assistant, who silently sits in the corner awaiting requests. In addition to these amenities, some rooms include single or double massage tubs.
