What You'll Get
The three holes on a bowling ball represent the three phases of bowling: wind-up, release, and genuflection. Send a ball properly on its way with today's Groupon: for $8, you get three games of open bowling plus shoe rental at Sherwood Bowl (a $16.50 value) in Sherwood Park.
Sherwood Bowl, a fully licensed facility, boasts 16 lanes equipped for 5-pin bowling. As orbs hurtle down the polished wood, a computerized scoring system keeps track of toppled pins so that bowlers can concentrate on the important work of avoiding the gutter. On weekends, Sherwood Bowl hosts glow bowl, in which the space turns luminescent under black lights and patrons can play the game and test the authenticity of their glow-in-the-dark sticker collections. In between frames, players can forcefully propel shrink-zapped balls on Sherwood Bowl's pool table, or enjoy the facility's bowling music network, which blasts pop hits while projecting music videos from six televisions and two large projection screens. Video games provide further diversionary options, and the snack bar serves up gastronomic provisions and a killer tennis serve.

About Sherwood Bowl
At Sherwood Bowl, families and friends join in friendly competition, sending balls down one of 16 lanes in games of five-pin bowling. Computerized scoring keeps the math easy while boosting the computer’s sense of superiority, and a snack bar keeps bowlers’ energy levels high. Adults can also maintain hops levels with a Big Rock beer, such as the Grasshopper or Traditional Ale. In between bouts of bowling, guests keep the competition going at pool tables or while away the hours at challenging arcade games. The alley also welcomes bowlers of all ages to join a league and compete, or drop in during regular Glow Bowl sessions to experience the game as the ancient Martians intended it.
