Q:

It's clear that an excimer laser will be used. Do you use the FDA-approved excimer lasers such as Abbott Medical Optical's iLASIK system with the Visx Star S4 IR or Alcon's OptiLASIK system with the Allegretto Wave Eye-Q?

greg b.  asked on  Apr 4, 2013

A:

We can use either system depending on the individual case. However, primarily we use the AMO Visx S4 with IR

Q:

Will Dr. Nilesh M. Sheth perform the surgery at all locations?

Jacqueline Z.  asked on  Apr 3, 2013

A:

Dr. Sheth will be the surgeon for all cases. The surgical site will depend upon a number of factors and will be determined with the doctor at the time of the evaluation. Regardless of the site, you will be in the expert hands of Dr. Sheth.

Q:

I currently wear contacts. One is for near vision and one for far. Bcause of this I have previously been told I am not a candidate for laser surgery. is that true?

Catherine e.  asked on  Mar 31, 2013

A:

No, that is not true. You very well could be a good candidate, but we would need to evaluate you to be sure. We can simulate the same type of vision with LASIK that you now enjoy with your contacts, with one eye for distance vision and one eye for near vision.

Q:

Can I pay with 2 different credit cards? I have an FSA (Flexible spending account) through my work but the balance in the account is not enough to cover the full price. Can I put the balance on a separate card? Can I do that online when I purchase the deal?

Adrianne W.  asked on  Mar 27, 2013

A:

Very sorry, but our website does not currently accept FSA accounts for payment. Additionally, purchases cannot be split over multiple credit cards. Currently, our system accepts major credit or debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

Q:

Hi I was approved for financing through credit care, are you able to use that financing or do you accept that to purchase the deal through groupon?

Jessica T.  asked on  Mar 27, 2013

A:

We do use care credit in the office at our normal price. I do not know whether Groupon would accept payment via care credit. You would need to ask their customer service department.

Q:

Hello, I have quite a strong near-sighted prescription with astigmatism, my understanding in the past was my eyesight could never be restored fully without needing correction. If that is the case will I have an opportunity to decide whether or not to go ahead with the surgery if I am a candidate but my vision can't be fully restored?

Carla C.  asked on  Mar 23, 2013

A:

Yes, you always have the right to decide whether to proceed or not. If you do not have surgery, you do receive a refund. After all, they are your eyes. There are several good options for highly near-sighted patients that can fully correct your prescription. We will review all of you these options in detail after a thorough examination. I hope I was able to address your concerns.

Q:

I have progressive eye glasses. Does this mean that I am not a candidate for this surgery?

susan g.  asked on  Mar 21, 2013

A:

Your current prescription does not exclude you from LASIK surgery. Nor, however, can we guarantee that you are a good candidate. We will perform a thorough evaluation and provide you with the surgeons opinion. If for some reason you do not qualify, Groupon will provide a full refund.
