At Shuck's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch, wanderers of all ages scurry through 14 acres of carefully laid paths and engage in autumnal antics including barrel train rides, steer roping, or hayrides. Boasting a new design every year, the main corn maze tantalizes minds with its confusing, winding pathways. LiL Shuck's, a smaller 2-acre maze, ensures even the littlest of adventurers can be Theseus for a day when the owners unleash the Minotaur at 2 p.m. On Friday or Saturday, explorers tote their flashlight around the darkened maze during Flash Light Night. After wearying of the maze, attendees can try their hand at more than 10 other activities such as steer roping, a leisurely hayride, or finding hay in a needle stack. Atop the cushioned slopes of Hay Mountain, kids seek glory by climbing their way to its peak, and a zipline slings nonadults under 100 pounds up to 150 feet. For an additional fee, participants can shoot the corn cannon or the pumpkin chunkin, which hurl their respective ammunition up to 200 feet.
Liven up stale fall flings with Shuck’s three-hour party package. Up to 10 guests steel premaze nerves at tables within a private pavilion, plotting out plans to enjoy their access to all cornfield events or learning how to send smoke signals spelling out the need for midmaze rescue.
