Q:

Can I get an 'evaluation' done BEFORE buying this Groupon to see IF I am a candidate? As I understand it, Groupon does not refund purchases - they just give a person "credit" and $700 is a lot of money to put in 'escrow' so to speak??? Again, that YOU Ann for your help.

Dan S.  asked on  Dec 7, 2011

A:

Hi Dan Please call our office and we can schedule an evaluation for you. Thanks!

Q:

I have two questions... The most simple is how do I know that I am a good candidate for LASIK??? My left eye is 'normal' 20-20 but my right eye is 20-60+ according to my optician... Second, due to the question/answer prior to mine - there are two KINDS of LASIK??? How do I find out about the difference and how is it decided WHICH is actually needed??? Thank You

Dan S.  asked on  Dec 7, 2011

A:

Hi Dan. The Doctor determines whether you are a candidate for the surgery. You can call our office and we will gladly go over the differences in surgery with you. Without seeing your eyes and knowing your history we won't be able to determine the best procedure until you come in. Thank you!

Q:

Do they do both eyes or only do one eye at a time and how long (appox.) is the healing process? Also, when does this Groupon expire after purchase?

Summer S.  asked on  Dec 7, 2011

A:

Typically both eyes are done same time and surgery takes 2-3 minutes per eye. Healing time varies per patient. Usually your fine the next day. Expires Dec 12, 2012

Q:

what type of Lasik is this special for? what machine do you use? Does this cover custom lasik?

Jennifer C.  asked on  Dec 7, 2011

A:

Keratome Lasik Surgery. Surgery performed with keratome is a more mechanical approach to lasik surgery. Before one’s vision can be treated a thin layer of tissue needs to be reflected away from the surface of the eye to expose the underlying tissue to be treated. This thin layer of tissue is known as the flap. The keratome creates this flap by using a strong suction device that lifts the appropriate amount of tissue away from the eye. An oscillating head then goes across the surface of the eye that creates a flap no thicker than a contact lens. Once the flap is folded out of the way the vision can be treated. This is not Custom Lasik. Thank you

Q:

Ann, you did not answer my question. I asked how many need to be purchased before "the deal is on," in other words - active. Thanks

Phillip H.  asked on  Dec 5, 2011

A:

This deal is already "on". The deal has "tipped".

If the Groupon tips (meaning that the minimum number of people signed up for the Groupon), then the deal is on and your credit card will be charged.

Once your Groupon is processed successfully, you will receive an email letting you know that it's ready to print from your account at www.groupon.com/mygroupons. Until the deal tips, you will not be charged.
