Silver Lake Resort
Just inside the fishing dock at Silver Lake Resort, dozens of polaroids plaster the walls. They all have one thing in common: the subject is beaming proudly with a fresh catch in hand. Silver Lake is known for its largemouth bass fishing, and at the resort, you can cast out for bass, bluegill, and perch year-round.
There are plenty of other onsite activities to take advantage of. Guests can rent canoes, rowboats, and pontoon boats to explore Silver Lake, the snow-capped peaks of Mount St. Helens creating a stunning backdrop.
The waterfront motel's cabins and guest rooms, which include rooms where guests can fish from, make for cozy spots to unwind after a day in the great outdoors. The homey silver suite is outfitted with a full kitchen, as well as a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub. There's a rustic feel to the furnished cabins; images of moose, fish, and bears cover the bedding. Outside, a fire pit inspires s'mores making, ghost stories, and the burning of tax forms, and in the morning, the resort serves a continental breakfast. There's also a general store onsite that sells snacks and fishing gear.
