About Silver Lining Stables
For equine enthusiasts, a barn can become a second home—similarly, the staff and riders can become one big family. That's certainly the goal at Silver Lining Stables, where an actual family strives to make their facility as welcoming and as serviceable as possible. Here's what to know about Silver Lining:
The people: Greg and Nicole Reason are the husband-and-wife team behind Silver Lining Stables, and they receive some help from their son, Travis. Greg is a decorated trainer, and Nicole is a riding instructor who first started riding at age 5.
The facilities: A 27,000-square-foot training barn sits at the heart of the property, along with huge indoor and outdoor arenas. There are also 49 permanent stalls and a cozy lounge for guests.
The lessons: All students begin with private lessons so they can practice basic riding skills in a safe, controlled environment. They can then move up to group lessons and learn how to handle specific scenarios, such as pulling up alongside another horse that wants to drag race.
