Questions and Answers 3 questions

Q:

I have VSP insurance which gives me a 15% discount for LASIK for most providers. Can I use that in conjunction with this?

John S.  asked on  May 14, 2014

A:

John, because the Groupon discounted price is so good, at 50% off, no other discounts are applicable.

Q:

"Patient will receive full refund if he/she does not medically qualify for LASIK or PRK." Does this refund mean your Groupon account will be credited or the user's credit card will be refunded? Thank you.

Nancy H.  asked on  May 13, 2014

A:

If a patient doesn't medically qualify, his/her purchase will be refunded by Groupon on the credit card used to make the original purchase. We look forward to meeting you soon when you schedule your appointment.

Q:

Are there any additional fees for patients with astigmatism? Are follow-up appointments included? What is the typical recovery time (are any days off work recommended)? Are both eyes done at the same time or is it one and then the other?

Jonathan M.  asked on  May 12, 2014

A:

Jonathan, Thank you for your questions. 1) There is no additional fee for standard LASIK for patients with astigmatism. 2) The $1,999 price includes the evaluation and measurements, the procedure and one year of post-operative appointments. 3) The procedure itself only takes a few minutes. It is recommended that patients rest for the remainder of surgery day. Most can resume daily activities the following day (with some restrictions such as swimming and other sports). 4) Both eyes are done during the same surgery. We hope to meet you in person soon.
