Welcome to Groupon, Erie! For our inaugural deal, $20 for $40 worth of books at Simon & Schuster's online store. Since this is everyone's first Groupon, allow us to briefly explain how it works.
How Groupon Works
Groupon is a combination of the words group and coupon. Each day, we offer an unbeatable deal on the best of Erie: restaurants, spas, sporting events, theater, and more. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won't find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power."
If you want to get the deal, just click BUY before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people (5 for today's deal) sign up by the end of the day, you'll be emailed a gift certificate the next morning. You can print your Groupons, or redeem them with our mobile app. Use them whenever you want until the deal expires—today's expires in 4 months. If not enough people join, no one gets the deal (and you won't be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the discount!
Before books, wild words roamed free, devastating conversations and stories with roving misplaced modifiers and marauding dangling participles. Visit a page-bound petting zoo with today's Groupon: for $20, you get $40 worth of adult hardcover books, trade paperbacks, audio books, and the entire children's product list at Simon & Schuster's online store. This deal is not valid for e-books and mass-market paperbacks. No matter how many books are purchased in your Groupon order, Simon & Schuster will offer a flat, all-inclusive shipping rate of $4.99 for Groupon customers.
Simon & Schuster's massive online book vault bursts at its seams with books of all genres. Fill your holiday book bag with beautifully bound gifts to enrich, delight, and thrill. Or bolster your personal library with bestsellers like Stephen King's latest, Full Dark, No Stars ($27.99 in hardcover), and House Rules by Jodi Picoult ($16 in paperback).
For the littlest readers, delve into a treasure trove of age-specific literature with Simon & Schuster's children's books, such as the newest in the Olivia series Olivia Goes to Venice and Dora’s Magical Adventures, an exciting new adventure in Nickelodeon’s wildly popular Dora the Explorer series.
