Singing Siren Restaurant

Samantha and Heather Howkins, the mother-daughter team behind Singing Siren Restaurant, playfully credit their restaurant's success to a legendary siren who sings in Crystal Beach. Her songs, they say, lure diners to their door. But that explanation is too modest—the real reason that folks come in droves is their gourmet menu of British and Canadian dishes made using local ingredients. VQA wine selections and draft beer from Niagara's Best Brewery don't hurt, either.

Curry poutine, tender blue-crab cakes, and ale-battered haddock and chips are a few favorites on the menu, but diners can also opt for lighter meals, including flatbread pizza and vegetarian wraps. On Sundays, the Howkins serve a traditional British afternoon tea with dainty sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and mimosas meant to be sipped with pinkies up. Reservations are required for Sunday tea.
