What You'll Get
Similar to tickling a bear without losing an arm, the art of breathing underwater requires years of practice and dedication. Introduce your lungs to aqueous awareness with today’s Groupon: for $12, you get a two-hour Try Scuba class at Ski Scuba Center on Sutherland Avenue (a $25 value). Currently, classes are scheduled on the third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Fit for fin-frolickers as young as 10 years old, the Try Scuba class provides two fully soaked hours of hands-on, tanks-on fun and fundamental training in the on-site heated pool. Submerged aside veteran instructors with more than 50 years of combined experience, students satiate their thirst for underwater inhabitance while learning how to dive down, breathe in, and soak up newfound weightless sensations. Families can learn together, friends can bond together, and coworkers can discuss mundane protocols through the muffled warble of watered-down discussion.
All of Ski Scuba Center's instructors are certified experts in the Diver Diamond methodology, allowing students with future certification interests to plant firm, confident, and technically sound footing into the liquid foundation of learning scuba. Aside from swimsuits, all equipment is provided, so don't worry about bringing a garden hose or an Atlantic Ocean.
Reservation required. All participants must sign a waiver; divers under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian sign.

About Ski Scuba Center
Ski Scuba Center is an aquatic activity hub where undersea sojourners purchase gear and learn to reach new oceanic depths. With more than 50 years of diving experience among them, instructors prepare flippered feet to scuba, swim, and lifeguard, edifying water-goers and offering certification during private and group classes. The Center also sends its snorkel constituents to Florida and the Caribbean on scuba trips and presents a number of tips on equipment-servicing treatments, such as filling tanks with air and feeding sugar cubes to well-behaved goggles.
