Q:

I had permanent eyeliner a few years ago from a tatoo place, however, it wasn't dark or thick enough. Is it possible to have it redone?

Wendy P.  asked on  Jul 3, 2013

A:

Good morning Wendy! Yes, of course. Permanent Makeup should really be touched up periodically for "freshness" of color. You can always add to permanent makeup, but taking away is much more challenging. Jewls

Q:

Hello! How long until I can wear makeup after getting eyeliner or eyebrows done?

michelle m.  asked on  Jul 3, 2013

A:

You don't want to wear any makeup for about 5 days post! The outer skin needs to heal and you don't want any bacteria to get into the skin. When you do use mascara again, please make sure it's a brand new bottle. Please visit my website and read over the pre and post care. http://www.skincarebyjewls.com/permanent_makeup_bradenton_sarasota.html

Q:

I have had my eyebrows done three times so far and each time they have changed to a purple-ish color. What do you think caused this and can it ever be corrected? Thanks, Connie Ferreira

Constance F.  asked on  Jun 30, 2013

A:

Good morning Connie! The pigments that have been used on you is the problem - The pigments I use are guaranteed to not turn orange or purple - yes, they can be corrected, however, it will be at the very minimum a 2 part process - most likely, we should do a "tattoo removal" first to remove as much of the ink as possible, then go in and design the brow with the desired color. I hope this helps... Jewls

Q:

I had a lip liner tattooed once before, approximately 1 year ago. I am unable to see it now. The tattoo cosmetician put topical anesthetic on my lips, but it still hurt. I also had my eyes tattooed and that came out great, no problem. My questioned is #1will the lip liner last, and #2 what can you use to prevent pain. The topical anesthetic seemed to wear off on the lips much quicker than the eyes. Thanks in advance for your answer.

Suzanne O.  asked on  Jun 28, 2013

A:

I can't promise you wont have any discomfort, however, I do apply topical anesthetic prior, during and post treatment to alleviate as much discomfort as possible. Permanent makeup is never guaranteed - many variables affect color retention including medications, skin, sun damage etc.....please read about permanent makeup on my website - there is a plethora of information available there....

Q:

how is the color on the lips applied?

Ann F.  asked on  Jun 28, 2013

A:

Permanent makeup is the same process as a tattoo - anesthetic is applied first then the color... Jewls Please visit my website and review all the information available....

Q:

I had lip liner done before and it was too dark. They tried to fix it and now I have two/three colors. Are you able to fix something like that without going too dark? I was worked on a total of 5 times. For some reason, the colors always turned out really dark on me. I need something very light. Let me know. Thank you.

Kiki T.  asked on  Jun 28, 2013

A:

This would definitely need a consultation - I would need to see you in person and assess the work personally....call me to set this up and we can go from there..... Jewls
