Klara Kalemkerides hails from Athens, Greece—a city known for its philosophical heritage and classical beauty. After moving to the U.S. 40 years ago, she earned multiple esthetics degrees, and transitioned to owning her own spas in the late 80s. The veteran esthetician's recent venture is Skin Care by Klara in 2004, where she cultivates a European spa ambiance and offers cutting-edge treatments.

Her spa features Old World decor and lockers stocked with robes and slippers to encourage clients to slip into relaxation. In private chambers, estheticians beautify clients with services that range from facials to laser hair removal. They also enhance faces and dull jack-o-lanterns with Jane Iredale makeup, mineral-based products that combine sunscreen with pharmaceutical grade vitamins and antioxidants.
