Q:

Thank you for the information. I have seen a Chiropractic doctor. He asked great amount of money to fix my problems. Can I fınd out how much it costs average to treat neuropathy and my increasing right side(arm, leg) pain when I walk or stand up.

cem g.  asked on  Nov 1, 2012

A:

Dear Cem, Most insurance companies provide coverage for chiropractic care and the SWC team would be more than happy to verify your benefits. After a full examination, the doctor will be able to assess your condition and give you an appropriate treatment plan. Once we know the amount of your co-pay and we establish how many visits you will need, then we will be able to tell you how much you can expect to pay. Best regards, SWC team

Q:

I have neuropathy and right side pain. I can hardly walk. Do you think you can help me?

cem g.  asked on  Nov 1, 2012

A:

Dear Cem. G. Chiropractic has shown to have great success with patients suffering from neuropathy. A full examination would enable be to establish the extent of your condition and establish a treatment plan accordingly. The first goal of treatment is to manage the condition causing your neuropathy. If the underlying cause is corrected, the neuropathy often improves on its own. The second goal of treatment is to relieve the painful symptoms. Chiropractic Adjustments Vibration Therapy Electric Muscle Stimulation Thermal Modalities PREVENTION The best way to prevent peripheral neuropathy is to carefully manage any medical condition that puts you at risk. That means controlling your blood sugar level if you have diabetes or talking to your doctor about safe and effective treatments if you think you may have a problem with alcohol. Whether or not you have a medical condition, eat a healthy diet that's rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein. The best food sources of vitamin B-12 are meats, fish, eggs, low-fat dairy foods and fortified cereals. If you're a strict vegetarian, fortified cereals are a good source of vitamin B-12 for you, but you may also want to talk to your doctor about B-12 supplements. As much as possible, avoid repetitive motions, cramped positions and toxic chemicals, all of which may cause nerve damage. I hope you will find this information helpful and I look forward to seeing you in the office. Best Regards, Dr. W. Jean-Luc Sansfaute
