Like traditional liposuction, laser lipolysis, or laser-assisted liposuction, surgically removes excess fat from the body. The procedure is much-less invasive, though, and doesn’t employ suction. First, the surgeon anesthetizes the desired area, then makes a tiny incision. She or he then inserts the cannula, a small tube housing a laser that liquefies the fat cells, which drain through the cannula.
