Young lady behind the counter was very pleasant and accomodating. I recently used a Groupon at a BBQ joint in Woodstock and the waitress and the manager both treated me like the enemy as soon as they discovered i was using a Groupon. I felt like I did NOT get the portions or the service that I would have had I been a full price customer. I would expect that much of the point of a Groupon is to secure customers that would return, as well as spread the praises of the restaurant visited. I realize that the people I encountered on my visit are employees, but ultimately the owner is responsible for informing, training and checking up on his/her employees. Slopes was excellent concerning the Groupon, no bait and switch, no strings, just good solid service along with good product. THANKS SLOPES, I'll be back !

What You'll Get

In the late 1800s, thousands of Texans struck it rich when they tapped into veins of thick, dark, tangy barbecue sauce, as chronicled in the Oscar-winning film There Will Be Sauce. Today's Groupon gives you the chance to taste this natural bounty while it's still hot from the earth to Slope's BBQ in Cartersville. Choose between the following options:

  • For $10, you get $25 worth of dine-in or carryout barbecue and beverages.
  • For $39, you get $100 toward catering services.

Slope's BBQ serves up old-fashioned Georgia-style barbecue, fusing the flavors of premium meats and signature southern sauces. Bread-enclosed beauties such as the jumbo barbecue pork or chicken sandwich ($4.90) offer a relatively tidy take on sauce-soaked favorites. Combination plates promise a harmonious hodgepodge by pairing entrees with two side items, bread, and a pickle. The rib plate mingles with sides of mac 'n' cheese and fried okra ($12.30), while black-eyed peas and collard greens add old-school vegetable flair to the pork and chicken plate ($9.60). Put a cap on stomach chambers with fruit-filled treats such as the blackberry cobbler ($4.05) or banana pudding ($2.80). Those hoping to avoid cooking for assemblages of mercurial sixth-graders can examine the catering menu for single-portioned plates ($8.25–$14.80) of meats slathered in sauce and accompanied by two sides.

Slope's staff also drop off catered fare to local residences for a minimum $30 fee, which this voucher can be used to cover; alternately, stop by the store to pick up assembled feasts alongside disposable plates and cutlery.
