About Smoke Shack Blues
Recognized by Newsday as one of its best barbecue restaurants on Long Island, Smoke Shack Blues is the brainchild of chef Jonathan Levine. It took him a little while to get to barbecue; he spent time at a Caesars Palace restaurant and Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas and the Park Avenue Cafe in New York on his way to eventually founding Smoke Shack Blues. But once he got into barbecue, his culinary pedigree helped him ensure he would excel.
His menu includes slow-smoked barbecue chicken, pulled pork, brisket, and ribs, all pulled right from the pit and infused with hours of flavor. Those entrees are accompanied by sides such as collard greens, mac and cheese, and hush puppies with honey butter. For those not in the mood for barbecue, Smoke Shack Blues also offers sandwiches such as the Cuban and a ham and cheese with gruyere on Texas toast. And everything can be washed down with Dr. Pepper, Shiner Bock, Cheerwine soda, or sangria.
