I took my son and a friend. They had a great time but (FYI) even with the Groupon there is still a lot to pay for once you get there.

Paintball is like a production of Hamlet: it's exciting, demanding, and by the end everyone has pretend-died. Take paintball arms against a sea of troubles with today's Groupon: for $40, you and a companion get a full day of paintball action, including gun, 400 balls, and CO2 refills (an $80 total value) at Smoky Mountain Paintball in Seymour. Smoky Mountain is an intimate paintball venue stocked with an accommodating staff and three wide-open battlefields to choose from. Officials spare the time and attention to listen to players' suggestions and ensure paint-splattered safety for all skill levels, from impressionist infantry to pigment-pummeler. Bring a friend along and resolve that decade-long dispute about Triscuit toppings while gaining new friends and enemies forged in the multi-hued heat of combat. Reviews

PBreview.com reviewers have this to say about [Smoky Mountain Paintball]:

  • They let us play all day, and facilitated any types of games we wanted to play, kept our air filled, and even loaned my buddy a spare part when he broke his feed neck. That's what I call good business and looking our for their customers. They were really good on safety...chrono, masks on, barrel socks/plugs, reffing, etc. We will definitely be playing there again. – themarmoset, 01/14/2010

About Smoky Mountain Paintball

A man runs through the forest, pausing briefly to take in his surroundings: rolling mountains and verdant trees as far as the eye can see. Suddenly, a twig cracks, breaking the silence, and the pristine view dissolves within a cloud of paint. The game is over.

At its outpost within the mountains, Smoky Mountain Paintball has converted the area's natural terrain into outdoor paintball fields. Here, players weave between trees and peak over walls in search of enemy combatants. The simulated battlefields are also a strategist’s dream; referees take requests, and will set up almost any type of game provided that players adhere to the rules and don't require a human-sized chessboard.

Away from the colorful warzone, a pro shop brims with camouflage and Tippmann markers, In addition to paint-fueled grudge matches, combatants can also settle scores with Smoky Mountain Paintball’s expanded arsenal of Airsoft and low-impact paintball battles.
