For $38, you get a pre-cut Christmas tree, up to eight feet tall, from Smolak Farms (up to a $75 value). Located just 45 minutes outside of Boston, this picturesque 300-year-old New England farm lets you and your family enjoy the Christmas tradition of taking your pick of hundreds of pre-cut trees. Because purchasing a Christmas tree after Christmas is considered something of a faux pas, this side deal understandably expires on Christmas Eve. This deal covers the tree only—rope is not included.

Smolak Farms has stocked up with hundreds of pre-cut Christmas trees, so you'll have your pick of balsam, Fraser fir, Douglas fir, and concolor fir trees ranging in size from five feet to eight feet high. Bring your kids on weekends and Santa will be there to hear out their Christmas lists (if they've been good) or pleas (if they've been bad). And though it's not included in your Groupon, you'll definitely want to warm your clan up after an afternoon of tree shopping with Smolak Farms' famous cider donuts.

Today's side deal lets you definitively prove to your kids that a real tree is better than a plastic one, and that picking a real one out is loads more fun than that Wii Christmas Tree Selector game they're always playing.
