What You'll Get
During a failed attempt to discover gravity, Sir Isaac Newton fell face first into a snow bank while carrying a heap of delicious fruit—inadvertently discovering the health benefits of mixing squashed nutritious food with sub-Arctic cold. Today’s Groupon lets you replicate Newton's experiment under controlled conditions: for $5, you get two vitamin-packed, 20-ounce smoothies at Smoothie King (a $10 value, including tax). This Groupon is good for the following Smoothie King locations: Volunteer Blvd., Forest Park Blvd., A-Kingston Pike, and Louisville Rd. in Alcoa.
Outside of swimming laps in chocolate syrup, smoothies at Smoothie King are the tastiest way to improve your health. Smoothie King smoothies combine fresh fruit, natural juices, and special nutritional enhancers into more than 90 flavors (you can customize, add, and subtract the extras), all of which focus on achieving one of seven nutritional goals. Try an antioxidant-rich Pomegranate Punch with pomegranate, bananas, blueberries, apple juice, soy protein, and Turbinado sweetener to stay healthy. Weight-conscious en-smuthiasts can trim down and float away with the Celestial Cherry High, packed with bananas, black cherry, papaya, Turbinado, and honey, and unpacked with fat. You can also customize any smoothie by adding enhancers or “make it skinny” by cutting out the honey and Turbinado.
All that choice stems from Smoothie King founders, Steve and Cindy Kuhnau, and their decades of experience. Seeking a delicious way to alleviate his allergies and low blood sugar in the late 1960s, the male Kuhnau tried blending fruit, nutrients, and proteins at home, creating the smoothie. In 1973, he opened his first health store with the first official smoothie of Smoothie King. Smoothie King remains committed to tasty health solutions, complementing its smoothie selection with snacks and supplements along with advice for good health.

About Smoothie King Knoxville
Smoothie King co-founder Steve Kuhnau began mixing fruit, nutrients, and proteins in the late 1960s, in a successful attempt to assuage his own health conundrums. By 1973, he’d begun selling vitamins alongside his health-boosting concoctions, and soon, more than 600 Smoothie King locations were operating worldwide. Today, the shop’s patrons customize real apple, mango, and banana smoothies with sundry health-bolstering mix-ins. More than 70 blendable multivitamins, minerals, enzymes, nutrients, and amino acids fortify frosty smoothies, helping bodies to stay healthy or lift semi-trucks. Snacks, such as veggie chips and high-protein cookies, augment shakes in both health and deliciousness.
