What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
I have been in the painting business since 2002. I have a BFA in painting from Savannah College of Art & Design. I can give you a color consultation on any painting or design project even if you do not intend to use my painting services. I perform faux finishes, murals, and interior and exterior painting.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
After I graduated from art school I learned the hard way that the term “starving artist” is not just a cliché. I learned faux finishing and interior painting not long after, and thus this company was born. I can pay my bills, and it is a creative outlet.
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy working with people, especially when I can make their home feel good to them. I also enjoy the feeling of seeing a project finished after a hard day of work.
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer?
I had a customer who spent about three frustrating months deciding on what colors to paint her new house. She came to me for help, and within two hours we came to her final decision. She told me that I had some magical gift that turned a horrible experience into something relaxing and fun.
