Social Art KW

Founded by painter Rachael Rector in 2014, Social Art KW brings the fun and artistry of social painting events to Kitchener-Waterloo. Taking place at Rector's studio or restaurants and pubs around the area, the events bring groups together for a night of creation in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Using provided materials, guests paint their own copy of the night's chosen image, and walk away with a complete 16x20 canvas at the end of the night. The events are suitable for guests of any skill level, and include helpful tips and instructions from Rachael herself. These fun events aren't the only way Rachael gives back to her community—she also keeps the city free from waste and litter by reusing class materials instead of simply throwing them away.
