What You'll Get
Pianist Charlie Albright has been hailed by The New York Times for his "jaw-dropping technique" and "virtuosity meshed with a distinctive musicality," while The Washington Post praised him as "among the most gifted musicians of his generation." The recipient of a 2014 Avery Fisher Career Grant and other prestigious accolades and prizes, he was named the Harvard University Leverett Artist-in-Residence for 2012, a position once held by cellist Yo-Yo Ma, with whom he's collaborated five times. Albright completed his Bachelor's degree as a Pre-Med and Economics double major at Harvard in 2011 and earned his Master's in Music from the New England Conservatory. At this solo show at Houston's Wortham Center, he'll play Schubert Impromptus, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and Chopin's Etudes.
